Dr Seuss 2011:
One of my favorite books growing up was Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham. I remember reading it over and over again because I loved the pictures and the way the words danced out of my mouth. I determined then that I would never…ever…consume green eggs (I made no such decision concerning the ham because I just love ham). Today while browsing Facebook, I ran across this cute little imitation of the great master of story-tellers, only adapted to fit the mindset of most Americans. I thought I would share it with you.
I do not like this Uncle Sam, I do not like his health care scam.
I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books.
I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their secret deals.
I do not like ex-speaker Nan, I do not like this ‘YES WE CAN’.
I do not like this spending spree. I’m smart and know that nothing’s free.
I do not like their smug replies, when I complain about their lies.
I do not like this kind of hope.
I do not like it. Nope, nope, nope!

Born 52 years ago in the State of Indiana, I grew up in the small, Ohio River town of Madison. I graduated High School mid-term of my senior year. I served in the United States Army for seven years. I married my High School Sweetheart, and we are still together nearly 33 years later. I have two sons and am very proud of them.
The only labels I will wear are Christian and American. For many, these labels are slanderous and polarizing. For me, being a Christian and being an American are not so much labels of supremacy (an attitude I try to avoid) as they are labels of humility and blessing.
